Some of the supplies are bought whilst others are given to the Camp. The average cost of feeding a man for the day is 8d. A typical days menu included porridge, jam, bread, butter and tea for breakfast, boiled beef, cabbage, potatoes, mixed pickes, rich pudding for dinner and lentil soup, minced cheese or egg, coffee or cocoa for supper with tea and biscuit breaks twice a day
