Jigsaw Puzzle : Confederate Cruiser Pampero
Jigsaw Puzzles from Mary Evans Picture Library
Confederate Cruiser Pampero
The Pampero, launched in October 1863 in Glasgow, was subsequently detained due to suspicion that it was intended to be used on the Confederate side of the U.S. Civil War. In November a British warship was moored in such a manner to block its departure, and she was placed under scrutiny by customs officers. Date: 1863 - 1864
