British rigid airship No. 9 in flight, WW1
British rigid airship No. 9 (also known as 9r) during the First World War, the first British rigid airship to be completed by Vickers. Her trial flight took place on 27 November 1916, and she went to her station at Howden, Yorkshire, on 4 April 1917, later going to Pulham, Norfolk, providing many hours of valuable training and experimental data for British airship crews and designers. Date: 1916-1918
