Japanese raid on Singapore

Following the capture of Malaya at the end of 1941, Japanese forces turned their attention to Singapore, a short distance away from the aerodromes they now held. Bombing raids on Singapore followed, and here the local population are seen clearing up debris following one such raid. Singapore was surrendered to the Japanese on 15 February 1942 Date: January 1942
