Royal Wedding 1919 - wedding gifts

Visitors inspecting the great array of presents received by Princess Patricia of Connaught on her marriage to Captain Alexander Ramsay RN in 1919. Among the items on display in Queen Anne's Room in St. James's Palace were chairs from the Empress Eugenie, an antique bureau from the Cown Prince and Princess of Sweden and a complete set of household linens from the Duke of Connaught. Date: 1919

Royal Wedding 1913 -- Connaught Fife -- four dresses

The wedding dress and three trousseau dresses designed for the wedding of Arthur, Prince of Connaught and Alexandra, Duchess of Fife, which took place in the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace, London, on 15 October 1913. In the foreground is the wedding dress, in white charmeuse satin, with an under dress finely embroidered in leaves and in lilies with pearls, diamante and silver. Above, from left to right, are an evening dress, an evening cloak, and the bride's going away costume in warm dove grey charmeuse. The dresses were made by Felix Barolet of Knightsbridge. Date: October 1913
