Princess Margaret visiting the partially completed Horder Centre, which she opened on 27 October 1966. The centre was founded by Mrs Cecilia Bochenek (?-1981) and her friend, Dr Joyce Peake (seen here, left). Herself crippled by arthritis and confined to a wheelchair, Mrs Bochenek set up the Horder recuperative home at Crowborough in East Sussex, specifically for people with arthritis. The centre was named after Lord Horder of Ashford who became the first President. Date: 1966
