Three German medallions from the First World War. At the top is a large round medallion bearing the head of Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz, German naval leader. Below is a smaller round medallion bearing the head of Kaiser Franz Josef I of Austria. At the bottom is an oval medallion bearing the heads of the satirically named Brandstifte Kollegium (Incendiary Association) of the four Allied political leaders: Delcasse (French), Grey (British), Iswolsky (Russian) and Salandra (Italian).
