Valparaiso, Chile - Plaza Intendencia (Municipality Square) with the monument to Arturo Prat. Agustin Arturo Prat Chacon (1848-1879), was a Chilean navy officer. He was killed shortly after boarding the Peruvian armored monitor Huascar at the Naval Battle of Iquique after the ship under his command, the Esmeralda, was rammed by the Peruvian monitor. The valiant actions of Prat led to his status as a national hero. Date: circa 1930s

Valparaiso, Chile - Christmas Greetings card - The Arco Britanico (Spanish for British Arch) - a monument located in the Avenida Brasil, in Valparaiso, Chile. Donated in 1910 by the British colony living in Valparaiso on the occasion of the Centennial of the Independence of Chile and was inaugurated in 1911. It is designed by the Chilean architect Alfredo Azancot. Date: 1924
