Outfits for an ocean cruise
Suggestions for ensembles to be worn when boarding a liner for a cruise or transatlantic voyage, all from Debenham and Freebody. From left, the lady on the gang-plank is wearing a trim suit carried out in blue silk with a matching jacket piped with white. Next is a smart, brown suede golf jacket with a striped, knitted woollen collar and cuffs - a well made suede skirt to match. Then a serviceable costume for going ashore of a dress in navy blue jersey with hand-knitted revers and cuffs of green, white and red wool. Finally, dresses of washing silk with matching coat are as practical as they are smart. The one pictured on the right is of heavy white crepe de Chine. Date: 1932
