The Goring Hotel, Victoria, London. A photograph taken not too long after the opening of this luxurious London Hotel (in 1910 by founder Otto Richard Goring). It was the first Hotel in the world to offer en suite bathrooms and central heating in every bedroom!

The 1958 Season - Palace presentation outfits
Outfits suitable for a debutante to wear for presentation at Buckingham Palace during the 1958 season, the final year in fact that debs were presented. Top left, a pur silk paper taffeta dress by Maryon. Bottom left, a presentation dress by Arthur Banks of fine cobweb lace in a rich sapphire blue. Middle picture shows a caf魡u-lait lace dress over taffeta by Worth. On the right, a black Chantilly lace dress over net and white taffeta worn with an Otto Lucas hat.
