Italian Propaganda postcard - Invasion of Albania by Italian Tank Regiment (this card is celebrating the brave tank drivers) 7-12 April 1939. The conflict was a result of the imperialist policies of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Albania was rapidly overrun, its ruler, King Zog I, forced into exile, and the country made part of the Italian Empire as a protectorate in personal union with the Italian crown. Date: 1939

WW1 - A mobile member of the Italian Army - a cycling sharpshooter ('Bersaglieri'). The Bersaglieri are a corps of the Italian Army originally created by General Alessandro La Marmora in the 1830s to serve in the Army of the Kingdom of Sardinia, later to become the Royal Italian Army - a high-mobility light infantry unit, recognisable by a distinctive wide-brimmed hat decorated with glossy black capercaillie feathers. Date: circa 1917
