Members of the W. S. C. (Windsor Swimming Club) who have borrowed the Eton College Punt Cuckoo to use as the starting line for a race on the River Thames. The course ran from the Great Western Railway (GWR) Bridge to the WSC Swimming Baths (a distance of about 400 yards). Date: circa 1920s

Fashion advice in The Sphere
The Sphere's women's section offers a range of ࠬa mode style tips: the woman in the top-left has visited Mrs. Adair's salon on Bond Street; the woman in the top-right has used Swedish rubaway in order to keep slim, while using Ganesh Dara to do away with superfluous hairs, and Mrs Adair's Eastern Oil to reinvigorate her tired skin. The woman in the centre, meanwhile, is sporting Aertex pyjamas made from artificial silk and cotton.
