(from top left - clockwise): Stanley Spencer sketches on Clydeside, Paul Nash at the vast mound of German plane salvage known as Cowley Dump, Art Critic Eric Newton, Leonard Roseman, Graham Sutherland working among the debris of bombed London buildings and Sir Kenneth Clark who set up the War Artists Advisory Committee.
