Borjomi - hydrothermal health spa resort - Georgia

Borjomi - a hydrothermal health spa resort in the southern region of Samskhe-Javakheti in Georgia with an international reputation for its geothermal spring mineral water resources. Borjomis mineral waters were first mentioned as early as the 15th century but gained wider notoriety when the daughter of Evgeny Golovin, viceroy of the Russian Czar in the Caucasus, was cured there. The Yekaterinsky spring and the Yevgeniyevsky springs are named after them, respectively. Date: circa 1905

Kabardin Woman - Georgia

A Woman of the Kabarda or Kabard (terms referring to a people of the northern Caucasus more commonly known by the plural term Kabardin). They speak Kabardian, a North West Caucasian language that represents the easternmost extension of the Circassian language group. Found in Georgia and Northern Turkey and also North Ossetian, where the Republic's Mozdok district and the southern part of the neighbouring Kurskoy district of Stavropol region (krai) are the homes to Kabardians who ate Orthodox Christians. Date: circa 1910s
