Thomas George Shaughnessy, 1st Baron Shaughnessy (1853 1923), American-born Canadian railway administrator who rose from modest beginnings as a clerk and bookkeeper for the Milwaukee and St. Paul Railroad (a predecessor of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad) to become the president of the Canadian Pacific Railway, serving in that capacity from 1899 to 1918.

It is located in a small park called Gordon Reserve, near Parliament House in Melbourne, Australia. Funded by donations from 100, 000 citizens, it was unveiled in 1889. Major-General Charles George Gordon, CB (28 January 1833 26 January 1885) was a British army officer and administrator who saw action in Crimea, China and Sudan. Part of Box 100. Boswell Collection.
