A wonderful, original, poster map showing Post Office Radio Telephone Services commissioned by the General Post Office and designed by Leslie MacDonald Gill, 1935. The detailed map shows Britain at the centre of a global communications network stretching to South America, Japan, USA, South Africa and New Zealand. Along the base are a series of charming vignettes depicting Rugby Radio Station (RRS), RRS Main Power Station, the Faraday Building and International Telephone Exchange (London), RRS Aerial Timing Inductance and RRS Demountable Vale. The poster was printed in two sizes, with this example being the smaller of the two. It came from the estate of MacDonald Gill and would have been retained by Gill as a reference copy. Date: 1935

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
