The New Telpher Line at Glynde
The new Telpher line at Glynde, near Lewes, the seat of Lord Hampden (1814-1892), the Ex-Speaker of the House of Commons. His wife, Lady Hampden, is seen starting the first train. This was the first Telpher line in England, an innovative means of transporting goods using an overhead electrically-powered wire. This one was used to transport gault clay. Date: 1885

10x8 Print in an MDF Wooden Frame with 180 gsm Satin Finish Paper. Glazed using shatter proof thin plexi glass. Frame thickness is 1 inch and depth 0.75 inch. Fluted cardboard backing held with clips. Supplied ready to hang with sawtooth hanger and rubber bumpers. Spot clean with a damp cloth. Packaged foam wrapped in a card.
