A-class Submarine HMS A3 - sunk at Spithead in collision with HMS Hazard with the loss of all 14 lives on 2nd February 1912 - The HMS Hazard (a Dryad-class torpedo gunboat converted into the worlds first submarine depot ship) was herself sunk in collision with SS Western Australia on 28 January 1918.
