Road House at the Whitehall Theatre
Sketches of scenes in the play Road House at the Whitehall Theatre. Written by Gordon Harker, the play, a light-hearted murder mystery, reflected the rise of the fashionable road house during the 1930s, newly built or adapted pubs and inns, which catered for a leisurely society interested in cars, drinking, dancing, swimming and fun! The play was made into a film shortly afterwards. Date: 1932
