A mixed gender evening class at the Birmingham School for Jewellers and Silversmiths, a Branch of the Municipal School of Art. The school was founded by the Birmingham Jewellers Association in 1890 and based in a factory building on Vittoria Street. The caption describes the jewel made almost entirely by the students and presented to Queen Alexandra who visited the previous week.
