Madame Claire Heliot, renowned female lion tamer with one of her dangerous pets at the time she was wowing audiences at the London Hippodrome. This particular lion, according to the caption in The Tatler, was captured as a cub by British officers at Moschi. The steak restaurant in the Hippodrome today is named after her! Date: 1904
