Madame Vacani
Madame Marguerite Vacani, dance and deportment teacher pictured in caricature as walking on air, and admired by a group of adoring debutantes. Vacani was the leading school in deportment, teaching members of high society and the royal family how to curtsey, dance and develop perfect poise. Madame Vacani was also an energetic fundraiser for charity during the inter-war years and spent time teaching the blind. During World War II, while carrying on her school, she was also Central Organiser for the W.V.S in the Borough of Windsor
