The Hypocrites by Henry Arthur Jones. First produced in in England at the Hicks Theatre, 27th August 1907. The image shows Leonard Wilmore kisses Rachel Neve, with whom he had hitherto denied having had an affair. Nearest to Rachel is the curate, Edgar Linnell, who has effected Leonards change of heart. Caption: Forgive Me. (Climax of Act III). From the touring production to the West Pier Theatre, Brighton. Date: circa 1907
