Grand Princess Elizaveta Feodorova (Grand Duchess Sergei), formerly Princess Elisabeth or Ella or Hesse Darmstadt, dressed as a Sister of Mercy of the reek Church, the Order of Martha and Mary. Following the assassination of her husband, Grand Prince Serge, Ella took the veil and set up her own convent in Moscow to help the needy of the city. Along with other members of the Imperial family, she was murdered by Bolsheviks in a mineshaft near Alapaevsk in 1918. Date: 1914
