A Dutch Lantern at Nikko Tosho-gu, a Shinto shrine located in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. The Oranda doro (Dutch lantern) was a gift from the Dutch East India Company (V.O.C.) presented to the shogun in 1643. Date: circa 1910
