78 mm German engraved artillery shell case - Bezalel School
77 mm. German artillery shell case engraved at the Bezalel School in Jerusalem. Engraved brass decorated with vignettes of Rachels Tomb and Absoloms Tomb, with animals, grapes and vine leaves. Together with Hebrew inscription translated into English to commemorate the liberation of Jerusalem - 24th Kislev 5678 (9th December 1917). Bezalel in Hebrew engraved just above base of shell case.
