Flora Drummond Suffragette. Flora McKinnon Drummond (1878-1949) portrait. Flora Drummond, joined the W.S.P.U in 1905 and in 1906 was arrested that same year for slipping inside 10, Downing Street. Arrested many times and imprisoned nine times. By 1908, she was in charge of the W.S.P.Us Clements Inn Offices. Often referred to as the General, she rode at the head of demonstrations and processions wearing a peaked cap and military-style epaulettes. Date: circa 1908
