Covenanters Monument (Memorial Cairn) at Philiphaugh, Selkirk, Scotland - situated in woodland to the west of the walled gardens in Philiphaugh Estate. Erected by Sir John Murray in honour of the Covenanters defeat of the Royalists at the Battle of Philiphaugh in 1645. General Sir David Leslie was the leader of the Covenanters against the Marquis of Montrose who commanded the Royalist Army. Date: circa 1910s
