Originally founded in 1525 by Thomas Wolsey, Lord Chancellor of England and Cardinal Archbishop of York as Cardinal College. In 1532 it was re-founded as King Henry VIIIs College by Henry VIII, who then re-founded it again in 1546 as Christ Church. Part of Box 366. Date: circa 1900
