St. Marks Church, one of the first London churches to be hit by German bombing during World War Two. Left a rofless ruin on the night of 21st September 1940, the church continued to operate under the Reverend H. A. Stuckey. One of the many places that American forces visited on tours arranged by the American Red Cross (this is a Red Cross postcard). Shown performing for a group of U.S. soldiers is the famous London Choir. Date: circa 1941
