The mihrab (located in the apse where the altar used to stand, pointing towards Mecca) in the Ayasofya, Istanbul, Turkey. Architects of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul were Anthemius of Tralles and Isadorus of Miletus. Became a mosque and now it is a Museum. Still contains interior Christian iconography. Date: circa 1910s
