One of a large series of postcard portraits of men and women who featured prominently in the 19th Century -the Great Century - Das Grosse Jahrhundert. Field Marshal Radetzky was born in 1766 and grew up to be a soldier. He fought in the Balkans and against Napoleon. He re-organised Austria's military and took Venice. Strauss wrote the Radetzky Waltz for him. Date: 1890
