Early aerial photograph and aviators
An early aerial photograph of Paris captured during Emile Dubonnet's (1883-1940) pioneering 65 mile flight from Juvisy to Orleans in 1910. The photographs below depict early aviators Louis Paulhan (1883-1963) and Claude Grahame-White (1879-1959). All were about to compete for a prize of £10, 000 in a London-to-Manchester flying race organised by the Daily Mail. Paulhan won. Date: circa 1910
