Vietnam - The Children of Fishermen - Vung Tau a seaside city of Ba Rị aVung Tau Province in Southern Vietnam, formerly known (during the period of French Colonial occupation) as Cap Saint-Jacques (Cap Xanh Giac). In 1901, the population of Vung Tau was 5, 690, of which 2, 000 persons were immigrants from North Vietnam. Most of the towns population made their living in the fishing industry. Date: circa 1906
