Tyneham House
The deserted Tyneham House, in the village of Tyneham, on the Dorset coast. The village and surrounding area was commandeered by the War Office in late 1943, to be used as firing ranges. Originally intended as a temporary arrangement, it was made more permanent and the area has used for military training ever since. This Elizabethan manor house fell into ruin and little now remains. Date: 1949
