Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1917), the last emperor of Russia with his wife Alexandra Feodorovna and his son, the Tsarevich Alexei. The Romanovs became victims of the 1917 Russian revolution. Inbreeding was common among royal families, causing genetic disorders. As a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of England, Alexandra carried the gene mutation for hemophilia, which she passed on to her son. Date: circa 1907
