Coloured lantern slide of a view across the Suspended Fribourg Bridge. Built in 1834 by Joseph Chaley, the iron wire bridge was temporarily the longest suspension bridge in the world. It crossed the Sairne River before being removed in the 1920s.. Slide number 46 of Box 181 entitled Swiss No.1. Date: circa 1890s
