Subaltern Stunts in Rome by H. L. Oakley
Scenes in Rome and Florence during World War One as witnessed by the silhouette artist, Captain Harry Lawrence Oakley. Caption reads, As leave to " Blighty" is not very plentiful, officers in Italy are eager to avail themselves of Italian leave, and these silhouettes were cut during a spell in Rome and Florence. There is little of the war to be found in Rome, and the opportunity of seeing some of the wonders of the world should not be missed. Moreover, it is a good way of establishing the Entente Cordiale.
