Madame Novello Davies, the well-known teacher of singing and voice production and mother of the composer and musician, Ivor Novello (who is pictured centre). She established a residential singing colony in Kent where outdoor singing was encouraged (as seen here). A number of well known singers visited the colony for practise. Date: 1915
