Scouts during Wartime
Sea Scout work on Coastal defence has been warmly praised by the Admiralty. Since the outbreak of war Sea Scouts have been on duty with the Thames River Emergency Service as well as taking part in coastwatching all over the country. Sea Scouts have been found specially useful as signallers for convoy work and the Admiralty is calling for more and more of them. Date: circa 1940
