Medal for Scoutmaster. During a raid some time back, Scoutmaster Walter Rayson, of Brixton, rescued three persons trapped in a bombed house. He dug through the debris, and after bringing the injured out gave first aid and stood by until help arrived. Mr Rayson, who belongs to the 3rd South Lambeth South Group, has been presented with the Boy Scouts Gilt Cross for bravery, by the County of London Commissioner, Sir John Shea, on behalf of the Chief Scout, Lord Somers.
