The lower picture was taken at a public reception to Major-General Sardar Puran Singh Bahadur, Commander-in-Chief of the State forces of Kapurthala, on his return from East Africa. He is shown in the group wearing garlands of flowers placed round his neck as a mark of honour. Date: 1917
