Sandanski and Panitsa - Macedonian Revolutionaries. Yane Ivanov Sandanski (1872-1915) (also known as Pirin Tsar (Pirinski Car) - pictured on left). In 1908 he supported the Young Turks in the hope of freedom for Macedonians. Finally assassinated. Todor Nikolov Panitsa (1876-1925) was also a Bulgarian revolutionary figure active in the region of Macedonia. Date: circa 1910
