Quentin Roosevelt lying beside his aircraft, France, WW1
Lieutenant Quentin Roosevelt (1897-1918), youngest son of the former President of the United States, lying beside his aircraft (a Nieuport 28) behind German lines in France during the First World War. He belonged to the 95th Aero Squadron of the American Expeditionary Force. He was buried on the spot where he fell. Date: 14 July 1918
