Princess Mary disembarking at Calais, 1922
Princess Mary crosses the Channel with Viscount Lascelles for her honeymoon. Princess Mary, daughter of King George V and Queen Mary, married Viscount Lascelles, later 6th Earl of Harewood, on 28th February 1922. She is seen here disembarking at Calais from the steamer Biarritz en route to Paris and Italy, carrying her umbrella which apparently went everywhere with her. The smaller pictures show the couple on the deck of the boat during the voyage. Date: March 1922
