Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holsteins funeral on 1st November 1917. Prince Christian (1831-1917)was the husband of Princess Helena and died at home in London on the 28th October 1917. His surviving son Albert lived in Germany and so was unable to attend the funeral. Instead, the coffin was followed by the British Prince Albert (later George VI), King George V and the Duke of Connaught, in front, and in the second row, from the left, the Duke of Teck, Prince Henry and Prince Louis of Battenberg
