Portable Organ
Portable Organ - When in use, this medieval processional instrument was slung by a strap over the shoulder of the musician. The bellows were then worked with the left hand, while the keys were touched with the fingers of the right. These organs are now extremely rare, the one illustrated here is beautifully decorated with inlaid ivory designs and belongs to the Brussels Conservatoire, Belgium. Date: 1929
