Pipers of the 1/9th (Glasgow Highlanders) Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry, 5th Brigade, 2nd Division, 1st Army, France, 1915. They are all wearing Government Pattern kilts with a Black Watch badge on their Glengarrys, inscribed with HLI. Georges Scott, (1873-1943). Scott Started His Career In The 1890S And Worked As War Correspondent For The News Magazine L Illustration During The Balkan Wars Of 1912-13. When War Broke Out In 1914, He Joined The French Army And Was Able To Continue His Work As Artist/Illustrator For That Same Prestigious Publication, Producing Many Now Famous Works Dealing With The Great War
