Elizabeth Billington, Regency era opera singer
Elizabeth Billington (1768-1818), English opera singer who was popular in England and Italy. Born Elizabeth Weichsel, she married musician James Billington in 1783 and M. Felissent in 1799. This portrait painted on her triumphant return to the London stage in 1801.
