Walsh and Clark Ploughing Engine CF6537
Walsh & Clark Ploughing Engine, regn. CF6537. Powered by a two-cylinder internal combustion paraffin engine, the Walsh & Clark ploughing engine, operated in pairs to pull a reversible plough across the field to be ploughed, in similar fashion to the contemporary steam ploughing engines. Developing 25-30 hp, it represented a step toward the modern diesel engined tractor, but was soon overshadowed by paraffin, oil, petrol and diesel powered tractors ploughing directly.. Date: 1970s
